About Us
Africa Brazil is a partnership among international agencies, governments and civil society organizations.
Africa Brazil was established by Adonai Rocha in 2006. Hosted by AJA an award winnign Brazilian NGO.
The initiative focuses on promoting South-to-South cooperation and sustainable development partnerships between Brazil and African nations.
The Africa Brazil approach is to mobilize governments and a wide range of other stakeholders in an effort to share experience and best practices on information and communication technologies, media and development to improve education, health, and to cut hunger and poverty.
Africa Brazil promotes Information and Communication Technologies projects, training and capacity building programmes using ICTs including TV, multimedia, web, distance learning, etc.
Through
its capacity-sharing, training and education programs, AfricaBrazil
supports UNDP Special Unit for South-South Cooperation (SU/SSC) established by the United Nations General Assembly in 1978. SSC primary mandate is to promote, coordinate and support South-South and triangular cooperation on a Global and United Nations system-wide basis.
